Perfect Morning.

This morning, the house was quiet. Morgan slept in. Jared and I woke up next to each other for once, as opposed to one of us on the couch sleepily entertaining our normally early-bird of a child (it is so necessary to take turns).

Forward an hour. Morgan was awake. And pleasant. And snuggly in his pajamas. Jared was dressed and ready for work, standing in the kitchen. Morgan was in my arms. Our morning prayer was said and I opened my eyes to catch a sweet sparkle of morning sun kissing Morgan's face. We hugged each other and said goodbye for the day.

And there was a moment of absolute, pure perfection. It felt and looked so beautiful to me.

I know Heavenly Father loves us and is mindful of our personal needs. Those needs are always met. He has never left us, and He never will. For this, I am thankful.

{PS}
I got these fresh tulips from Walmart yesterday. $2.50. I call it January therapy. It was so needed. I'd highly recommend doing something of the likes for your home. Believe me, it helps.

It's autumn time! It's autumn time! The leaves are falling d o w n.

Good morning my darlings. I hope you had a beautiful fall weekend. The weather was delightful on Saturday. And while Jared was away hunting, Morgan and I shopped nearly all day. The poor child was exhausted by the end. And so was I. I think I counted eight different places we stopped that day. Whew!

What were you up to this weekend? Did you eat yummy food? Any excellent buys?

Has autumn bloomed in your town? It certainly has in ours!

{I took this picture yesterday}

It seems that we woke up Saturday, and overnight the trees had changed. While Jared has been enjoying the beautiful colors in the mountains, Morgan and I hadn't really yet seen autumn at its best. So, yesterday afternoon we took our annual drive up City Creek Trail. It's one of the beloved places to go here in this lovely town of ours and it is literally fifteen minutes from our home. I could hardly stay in my seat, as we drove up the trail. I was so excited! I took a million pictures! When we got out, it smelled like heaven. And I do not say that in any exaggeration. And the colors! Oh, the colors! Utter perfection. Just moments outside quickly brought about tender feelings of gratitude in my heart at how perfect God's hand is at creating - and changing his beautiful earth. We are so lucky to be His children.

On our way home, I convinced Mister Keller to drive me by my Lincoln Estate (remember it?). And guess what! My heart began to overflow even more. How inspiring can one afternoon be? Someday, I hope to be the lady of this house. And until that 'someday' comes, I will be dreaming.

My afternoon was
full of darling Morgan smiles.

What was yours like?

if you were here
with us
today,
you would have found us
outside.
playing in the sunshine.
barefoot
and twirling
in the cool green grass.
making wishes
and laughing like we were the oldest friends.
we are the best of friends.
for always.

Victor Hugo says "love, that is the only thing that can occupy and fill eternity".
As for us, we're sealed together. Bound forever and all. With love. And we fill our home with love. So much it feels to me like heaven. Only here on earth.
As for me, I have waited my whole life for days like these. I feel as though I was born for them. And how my heart swells when I contemplate blessedness. And other thoughts too. Thoughts of perfect days. And sent-off wishes.
All the while, I wonder to myself: has ever a mother loved her child more?
