Easter Weekend.

It was one of those weekends I wanted to take a picture of everything. And I did. The weather was perfect, the sun was so warm. The boys were so excited. Even though we’ve all been sick with colds, they were so pleasant to be around. We watched Peter Rabbit and read spring stories with pictures of baby animals and the boys set out their Easter eggs for the Easter Bunny before they went to bed last night. They ate more candy than I care to admit, but we had a sweet little dinner together and now they’re in bed sound asleep. I love my little men.

I love my Savior, Jesus Christ. He is warmth and light and peace to me. I never loved him more than I did the moment I held my first son in my arms for the very first time. It was in that blurry, beautiful, excruciating moment that I understood as I never had before the importance and the depth of God's love and how beautiful and perfect his plan is. How could I exist without believing this with the fiercest of convictions? How it burns inside me. Because of Jesus Christ, death has no true sting. For we are eternal beings. And because of Jesus Christ, we are literally bound to each other. Nothing can break those binds. In my heart I know this to be true. Never was this more important to me than when I became a mother. I cannot think of a phrase more powerful than 'He Is Risen'. This defines the reason, the purpose for everything. Never was there a promise sweeter, more powerful or more true. The power of this promise is extended to every living being, no matter his or her religion or beliefs. God's love encircles everything in this world and everyone to have ever lived; everyone that ever will live. I'm thankful to know this.

Hello

Well, the week has come and gone and I'm glad today is friday. We've been working in the yard, trying to figure out what to do with it. It's so big and I'm so very impatient and want it to look decent in two seconds, now that the snow is melted and not covering it. I'm getting very anxious to start planting and making things look good. It sounds silly to say, but it's stressing me out. We've been to Lowe’s a few times, took a few naps, cleaned the house and I went to a few sales. Yard sale season is upon us and I've found some really great things this week.

Tonight, we’re going on a date out to Pinegree to pick up some more furniture I bought earlier in the week. I hope we get nachos at Chilies for dinner and root beer floats at A&W in Blackfoot. Folks, A&W is the best ever and we don’t have one here. I take full advantage whenever we’re that way. Oh, and I also hope that the babysitter puts the kids to bed before we come home. Worth every penny for that alone.

This weekend it will rain. There's dark clouds above us now. I’m looking forward to chocolate chip cookies, General Conference on tv and to Mr. Keller making me a few fires. My fire season is winding down so I have to take full advantage while I still can.

Have a lovely weekend. Here are a few photos from last Sunday.

Happy Easter Weekend

I snuck away last night to do some Easter shopping for the littles. I also brought home some pretty pink tulips for our Easter table this weekend. (They are beautiful!) This morning we've been doing laundry and sprucing up the house with our spring decorations. Perhaps the biggest blessing of all is that the sunshine is still high in the sky and the air is so warm. This morning, Mr. Keller declared it feels like summer. Of course, we're hesitant until June. Still, it's coming.

This weekend, we'll be dyeing hard boiled eggs and watching a new Franklin Easter movie and Sunday, we're having scalloped potatoes and carrot cake. This is one of my favorite times of the year and it always makes me think of all of my grandmas - grandma tilley, grandma glenna and of course grandma dixon. It's such a feminine holiday. I'm even wearing an apron today.

Of course, I'm so ultimately grateful for my brother and Savior, Jesus Christ; for his atoning sacrifice and for the extending promise of the Resurrection, which is cause for greatest celebration. Here's to a lovely Easter weekend.

Xoxo.

And now, some springy pictures for you.

Hey look, I got dressed. (My sweats were in the wash.)
Also, I became a mall kid and got a smart phone. Weeeeee.

Dreams being realized here...I'm finally the proud owner of a vintage dress form. Love.

Vintage quilt! I'm still so swooning over this flea market find from last weekend.

And the rest are things we set out this morning....Happy weekend!
