Sunday Morning.

Nothing's better than snuggling with a freshly bathed Danny boy.

Sunday.

Yesterday was a slow afternoon. I got a slow start to cooking sunday dinner, which usually means it doesn't turn out as well. It was fine, though. Most nights we sit around our bar, but on Sundays we always eat at the table; a tradition I'm carrying on from my childhood. I won't let it go. I made chocolate chip cookies along with dinner. We talk, we laugh at the boys, we eat. And in the end, the kitchen's always a mess. Mr. Keller took the boys downstairs so I could clean in quiet. It's my favorite thing to do. I've loved to clean as long as I can remember. Kricket tells me I get it from her. It's thick as the blood in me. I turned on Sinatra on the tv radio and it played for the rest of the night, the fire humming the background. The boys eventually found their way upstairs, after everything was washed, dried, swept and put away. We ended the evening draped across each other on the bed while the boys rough-housed on the floor until bedtime. Oh, sunday nights. I love you.

Sunday Afternoon.

1. Danny may be our sugar, but most definitely our ham.
2. He can dance like nobody's business.
3. Star Wars nerds reside here.
4. I laugh at my kids, especially when they fall. Don't judge.
5. It's a damn zoo around here. My children are reckless. This video is long and random. And probably only funny to us.

November sixth: Sundays

Sundays are usually fairly predictable and that's just the way I like them to be. They usually always involve a handful of my favorite things.

I cook, nap, wear my husband's shirts and slow down enough to watch intently the faces of my children. I pray, ponder and listen to my heart. And today it's telling me I'm thankful for Sundays. When they roll around each week, they are usually exactly what I need.

PS - One more thing.....a picture of Danny boy, since all the ones above were taken one afternoon in April, when he was still baking away in my tummy!

We took a drive.

Today was slow-cooked roast, potatoes and brownies, a nap, porch time and long drive in the rain. City Creek is absolutely delicious this time of year. I go up there and I belong.

Today was good, slow and pretty. And I drank it up.

Sundays

Of all the days that's in the week
I dearly love but one day
And that's the day that comes betwixt
A Saturday and Monday.
Henry Carey

-----------------------------------

Sundays have turned into my favorite day of the week lately.
Things are so slow and easy.
Just like I like.

Lots of time for loving, and feeling loved.

Lots of time for running around like a monkey.

And like Megan said,
time for documenting days when we actually get dressed.

I get to wear fancy things like red shoes.

And follow my munchkin around
taking pictures of everything he does.
Because, you know, I love him.
And he's really funny.

We took pictures of baby.

Thirty-one weeks.(But, who's counting?)

We had homemade Cafe Rio.

and snuggled and slept. all three of us.

And by the end of the day,
things looked like bombs and tornadoes.
And no one cared.

We had b e t t e r things to do.

(4/16/11 8:20pm.)

Especially little dude,
and bedtime with all the favorites:
blankey, passey, baby doll and new semi truck.

 The End.

PS - Morg told us all day yesterday that the man on the front of this bottle was daddy.

Five bucks says if I beg Jared enough this week, by next week he'll have a mustache like Mr. Hot Sauce Picante.

I can't wait!
