A few things...

Whew. We actually had a decent night of sleep last night. So good that I woke up in a panic because I put Danny to bed at 6:30pm last night and it was 7:08am and I hadn't heard from him. The Littles are still sickly, but perhaps sun is on the horizon. Yesterday, on an Emergen-C run, I picked up some tulips. They are gorgeous - a deep red with yellow tipped petals. I could never have enough tulips in all my life. I love them. Oh, I love them.

$6 bunch of tulips and $2 vintage pleated striped skirt from D.I. (Score!)

 $10 floral scarf from Ross (my new favorite!) and a vintage wallhanging from the flea market, $7.50

Teal necklaces from D. I. $0.75 and $3.00

$1 glass bottles from Vain and Vintage and a sweet teal watering can from Ross - $10

Happy first day of  s p r i n g, my dears.
Breathe the free air, as Gandolf would say.

The sweetest.

I saw this months ago on Cup of Jo, but just recently came across it again. I think it's the sweetest picture I've seen in a long time. It makes my heart hurt!

Wherever you are, be there fully.

For where you are is where you can most effectively act and l i v e.

When your thoughts are in another place or time, your actions lose much of their effectiveness.

There is much to be accomplished, much to be lived in every place and in every moment.

Be there fully for all of them, and life will be rich indeed.

A great escape.

We spent last weekend in Wyoming, just us two. It was a million degrees outside, but it looked like spring everywhere we went. Everything was entirely green and delicious. It's pretty much a dream there. I kept feeling like Anne of Green Gables, pinching myself to make sure it was all real. It was real. And very romantic. And with names like Star Valley and Tincup and Grey's Lake, I'm sure Anne would approve, too. (Aren't they such lovely names?)

We had such a lovely time.

{and then he crashed. which was very funny.}

flowers: to me, from jared.

PS - Thanks to c&s keller for grandparenting morgan while we were gone!

Dear Megan,
For your wedding reception decor, I am thinking along these lines of some sort. These in this picture are even similar to your colors. And see how cute a paisley print would be for table cloths? And daisy flowers for center pieces?

You like?
Let me know.

Xoxo.

This picture...

...I'm in love with. (And the quote, too.)

{Baby Mine}

This is the sweetest, most peaceful of lullaby cds. It had me in tears the first few seconds of listening to it. The vocals are soothing and quiet. And the lyrics to the songs are so tender. We find ourselves listening to it all throughout the day (not just at naptime and bedtime).
-
I think it's available at Deseret Book, since it is put out by one of their affiliate companies, but we purchased ours at Walmart.
-
Truly a sweet compilation. I wholeheartedly recommend it.
