Awesome for me that Morgan woke up at 5:30am and didn’t go back to sleep. Awesome for me that we just laid down to take a nap and had JUST drifted off to sleep, when the mail man rang the doorbell. Yes, it was loud. Yes, it woke me up. And NO, he brought nothing exciting.
Thankfully Morgan continued to sleep (as he is doing so right now), and thankfully,Mr. Mailman brought PotteryBarn catalogs fresh with crisp color-it-red ideas. My mood has swiftly turned for the better.
But, back to griping, can I tell you how utterly disturbed I am that Wal-Mart has put a doctor’s clinic inside its store here? It’s repulsive to think that where I buy my produce, my baked goods, my groceries, people will come with their coughing, hacking, icky sicknesses. It turns my stomach. I am repulsed. Just one more reason I swear to myself that someday, I will be able to afford to shop elsewhere and I will never, EVER return.
In other, better, lovelier news I have fallen head-over-red-high-heels for this 1937 beauty right here. Come on, click on it. Really. Do.
It’s unfortunate that the pictures don’t do it justice – not in the least bit. I drive by it and the very exterior takes my breath away. Jared and I walked through it yesterday evening and I left inspired. I pictured us both bustling around the grounds, looking like this:
(thanks be to this site for this lovely picture)
Folks, we would live such the vintage life there.
And I would invite you over for tea. And swanky backyard parties with candles hanging from the trees. We would dance. And paint our nails red everyday of the week (not just on Sundays).
I’m such the hopeless romantic. Aren't you too?
On the list today:
Purchasing a swimsuit. And I’m not looking forward to it. Something about stretch marks and a six-inch puckering scar on my stomach...etc. etc. Oh, the issues.
PS::: "Super Sharp Home, Right By Campus" (owned by yours truly and Mister Keller too!)
Clickity-click here to see/buy (come on, it's really charming!!!!).
I am a sucker for those historic homes that come with their own history. I aspire to own one someday. . .maybe one with a name--I love houses with names.
