I Love The D.I. (Part Dos)

Here's our treasures
from this morning:

White Floral: $3.00
Hoop Basket: $0.50
Small cream pitcher: $0.50
Cream ceramic bowl: $0.75
Wooden Crate: $3.00 (I actually snagged this one at the D.I. in Boise last week!)
Vintage Wire Egg Basket: $2.00 (So excited about this one! It's identical to one I've been coveting for weeks at Vain and Vintage that is priced at $15.00.)

Cute teal pitcher I snagged at the TJ Maxx superstore in Boise.

And here are the vintage canisters from a few weeks ago.

They were a $1.00 for the set.

Inside, they smelled sweet, like old chocolate, and the hardware had similarities with the hardware in my grandma dixon's kitchen! (I miss her house so much!) While the canisters were in desperate need a good scrubbing (and some paint), I kept picturing them coming from the home of an elderly lady that had kept them for most of her life. While I love a good vintage find, it always makes me a little sad thinking that the posterity of so many don't see the potential, the value, or the sentiment in things that are old. Some of the things I come across, I couldn't bare to let go of if they had come from my grandparents!

Remember the canisters before?

and last, but not least, (and because this mother can hardly resist taking picture after picture of her little duckling):

Have a lovely Thursday!
