Good evening folks.
We're exhausted over here at the Keller homestead. It is Friday (thank heaven).
We've been busy with 'Vintage Farm' business all week, plus we've been battling colds. And as for me, I missed my afternoon nap today, which makes for an extra-sleepy evening (this will be the same story for me, all winter long).
Bella finally got her dog collar attached to her neck (this does not mean we will make any sort of claim on her if she ever finds herself chilling in the dog pound).
:
Morgan pretended to be a fish today and learned how to sniff things with his nose (so cute).
I cleaned the office and in the process, had mounted deer horns fall on my head. A bloody puncture and a goose egg have both yielded me quite the headache all day, but things are relatively well.
Like I said, I'm just glad it's Friday.
{Hightlights of the Week}
- Yummy taco soup.
:
- Jared impersonating Darth Sidious at the dinner table when was wearing his orange hoodie over his head (which escalated to a battle of the forces in the kitchen). Spoiler alert: the dark side NEVER wins.
- Discovering that a very-naked morgan decided to take his business in jared's closet right before tubby time. you know what the business is, don't you????!
- Eating a whole loaf of pumpkin chocoate chip bread in less than twenty-four hours (jared helped, too).
- A quick visit this afternoon from mom and aunt jackie.
- Homemade spice cake with butter-pecan ice cream.
Looking forward to our version of Friday date night which equates to be something like this:
flannel pajamas + my mr. keller + hot cocoa.
:
And we'll snuggle and watch tv (Star Trek tonight, I believe). Then I'll mumble to him how I'm too tired to stay awake, and then I'll fall sound asleep and miss the last half of the movie, which he will then (lovingly) complain about tomorrow morning. Lovingly (you see how things are around here).
;
I love my husband very much. He's so my best friend and just the person I want to end my goose-egged day with.
:
I hope you're ending your day snuggled up with your darling, too.

{PS}
Who is hungry for turkey already????
Who is hungry for turkey already????
MEEEE.

Also, our neighbors the Gibby's have had their Christmas tree decorated and lit since the beginning of November. So awesome. And while I was at the mall today, the whole place was adorned with wreaths and garland. While we have a firm not-before-thanksgiving sort of mentality around here, I savor those early-sortof-birdies out there. Sets such mood, doesn't it?

One more thing.....
This morning, I opened my inbox to find an email from my daddio with a link to a very special MLS listing.
:
Grandma and Grandpa Dixon's Parke Circle Estates (as I call it) is up for purchase once more! It was amazing to see pictures of the place. A lot has been remodeled. A lot has changed. They even built a garage where my grandma's garden and raspberry patch used to be. My heart felt a little sad about that one. Click here for a tour (check out the restored original hardwood floors....). I think we'll try to schedule a walk-through over the holiday. That old home means so much to me.
Have a beautiful weekend.
