zinnias. my mom says they are the brightest in september.
wouldn't you agree?
below: my parents' vinyl garden box located right off their backyard porch for easy harvesting.
below: morgan and mom harvesting plump raspberries from the main garden.
this day included a baby-free trip to ross's. then, later on, accompanied with baby and his grandma, i took a trip to other mother's (a mighty swell consignment store for children's clothes, toys, books, etc). and a trip to joann's fabric to plan out morgan's halloween coutour, which will be nothing short of a.dor.able.
we came home to my dad baking delectable chicken alfredo pizza served with spinach salad with raspberry vinegrette dressing.we (my mom, morg and i) spent the remaining daylight hours meandering through the spacious country yard and garden picking fresh raspberries and strawberries and enjoying the september sunset, while my brother and dad teamed up with the cornia's to cheer on the broncs. go broncos! go!
other accomplishments today:
picked up pillows for my personal seamstress (my mother) to recover for me on the morrow.
wiped morgan's nose (and my own) fify bagillion times, therefore being a few steps closer to kicking this nasty cold/flu.
spoke with the mighty hunter via cellular when he was 'in range', to find they have had no luck yet. dang. it.
i miss my husband. i miss my bed.
but right now, sitting on the couch with my mom listening to her try to rhyme something cool on facebook is entertaining me enough to chase away any bluesies.
how about you?
what was your friday filled with?
what did you enjoy?
did you laugh as much as i did?
i hope so.
good night.
