It’s high-time for a Morgan post. It’s been a while.
The child is growing. Checked out at 20 pounds (or just under) at his nine month appointment. Doctor Burton asked: where does the time go? He says that for him, a dad of five or six, it goes by way too fast. We discussed how family is everything. I like that Doctor Burton. I really do.
Family is everything.
Morgan zips here. There. And everywhere. He is crawling like crazy – and fast as lightning, too. That child! He pulls himself up and walks along the furniture. He loves opening and shutting things, especially doors, although he obviously can’t turn the knob, or even reach the knob for that matter. He likes to move things back and forth (for example, all the doors in the household).
He took two steps one evening and Jared and I looked at each other, gushing with pride. But it was short lived. He hasn’t stepped on his own since. It will come. And I’m told by other mothers, not to rush it.
We wait.
In the mean time, he has learned to “patty-cake”/clap. He does it “on command”. He loves music and especially “wheels on the bus”. Thanks to Becca, we have the song on “On The Go” Baby Einstein, and it’s his favorite part.
He hasn’t said any identifiable words. In the car the other day, I gave him some wipes to play with as we drove. He sat in the backseat saying “ewwww…..ewwwwww….”. I guess “ewww” is sort of a word, but it doesn’t really count. Does it? It was really cute, none the less.
He has sort of weaned himself off of his bottle – what a blessing. We are thankful – one, because formula smells putrid. And two, that shizen is ex.pen.sive…..He eats all the solids he can fit into his small belly. He loves bread, crackers, cheerios, frozen peas and apple juice.

Other big news: within the last few weeks he got all four of his front teeth - all at the SAME time (I wouldn't recommend that - not at all).
He loves his daddy and gets recognizably excited when he comes home from work. This morning as we kissed daddy goodbye, he even started to cry a little as we watched him walk to his car. It made me want to cry too. Oh, we love that daddy.
He sleeps from 8:00pm-6:30 or 7:00am. He takes three naps during the day.
Anything else? Well, yes, a bunch. But mostly, he keeps me so darn busy. I’m in my I.have.my.hands.full/one’s.enough.now.thanks.very.much mode. And we’ll leave it at that.
I LOVE MY BABY BOY- SOON TO BE A TEN MONTH-ER.
My, my, how the times does fly right away.
