Dear house: you were a home.

The East Dunn Homestead
{April 2007}

Well, my friends, last night we went to sleep the un-owners of the East Dunn Homestead (our once-home, turned into a rental). I left my key with Thais at Ameri-title, and shook hands with Mister Jones (the new owner), as I buckled little buckaroo in the car. Then. I. Drove. Away.

The day we said our goodbyes, I took Morgan over to take his nine-month pictures (to be posted soon). I let him roll around on the shiny hardwood floors. Oh, how I love those floors! And that mantle. Nie says that every woman should have a mantle to decorate. Agreed. That mantle was mine! That home was romantic. Quaint. We work so very hard to make it ours. And ours it was.

And now we've passed it on.
Goodbye, dear home. Thanks for your novelty and warmth. Between your walls, we felt so very charmed. We held and loved eachother. We created a darling, then we brought him back to you.

We will always, within our hearts, love you.
