I've had such a thin desire to write these days. This makes me sad, because I really enjoy looking back through all my old posts. It always amazes me how day-in and day-out, things seem the same, but really, all it takes is a look back to realize how quickly things change. I keep saying I'm going to try harder to make it regular. What has instagram done to me? It has made me lazy.

April came and went. It was warm and green. And now it's May. Halfway through, even. We spent a handful of weeks sickly (again). We each had a horrid cold that lasted at least two weeks for each of us, and it's almost been four weeks now and I'm still fighting it here and there. We wonder about us developing seasonal allergies? On top of this, the boys both got fifth's disease, which sounds bad, but it really wasn't. It's basically a rash over your body and bright red cheeks. No fever, not even a day where they slowed down. You wouldn't have known they were sick. I suppose this is good. It was just about then that I was bragging to Mr. Keller that with all the sickness we've had in the last six months (seven colds, hand foot and mouth, fifth's disease), I was able to treat them at home without needing a single trip to the doctor. You know me: we don't do wellness checks, and going to the doctor is absolute last resort! I shouldn't have bragged, because the following week they both developed (separate) horrible rashes on their bottoms, which took us three separate trips to the doctor to figure out what exactly was going on. Strep! Who even knew that was a place you could get strep? It's been a long two weeks figuring out what exactly was going on. They're on antibiotics and doing much better.

Papa and grandma came to visit last weekend. Papa took two full days of work off to build me garden boxes and help put in the garden. What a sweet mother's day it was. Mr. Keller wasn’t able to get work off, so papa worked so hard and did them by himself. It made me feel so loved. My dad is the hardest worker I know. He is selfless and is always willing to help with anything. I’m so thankful for my parents. We had such a good time and I miss them when they leave. Morg planted his sunflower start that he’s been watering from a little seedling. It’s already grown a lot since Monday and we’re looking forward to tending to our little plants throughout the summer. I’m hoping to really apply myself this year, since in the years past, I haven’t really cared to. My garden boxes look so great – white vinyl! I love them. Thank you, dad. I love you.

Here are some pictures of the last week:
