Birthday boy is OBSESSED with Star Wars. He lives in a world of make believe (and I loooove it). On occasion, he gets to watch some of the movies (only bits and pieces, since it's pretty intense), but he's mostly just fallen in love with the story. He asks a million questions about it. And since Jared knows more than I do (being that I'm lotr more than a star wars girl), I tell him to ask his dad. He does. They play and make believe. It's what they do. He believes he's a real Jedi. And I think he is.
Anyway, his present bags were filled with Star Wars gifts! He got three jet fighters, all the figurines, a Star Wars Angry Birds shirt from grandma Stacy, which he had to look at for several minutes and then said aloud: I just love this! He decided he would wait to wear it until preschool but he couldn't wait any longer and wore it today. He told me to make sure I folded it nicely when I washed it.
He got several star wars books, puzzles, planet pajamas and a planet night light that projects the solar system on the ceiling (so cool!). It was a birthday for the books! He's been on a buzz ever since.
I cried a few times throughout the weekend. Mostly because I can't believe how sweet this child is. We don't deserve him! I swear, he's so perfectly sweet. He's so pure. He asked if he could be four forever because he doesn't want to grow up. I only wish! Oh, how I wish! I love him so much my heart hurts! My sweet five year-old boy!
Today I asked him a few questions, here's what he answered.
Favorite food: spaghetti
Favorite candy: gummy bears
Favorite movie: Star Wars (duh!)
Favorite color: orange
Favorite toy: his new Star Wars fighter jets
Best friend: Jordan from preschool
The after-party! New jammies! New toys!
His donut cake in the morning on his actual birthday!
