Hello.

We've been spending a lot of time in the backyard in the swimming pool. The boys always skinny dip. Danny got seven slivers in his little bum cheek the other day. He went around all afternoon saying, "It huuuuurts, mommy." He finishes every sentence with 'mommy'. I tease him constantly. He always says "Domp (dont/stop), mommy" in the most monotone voice you can imagine. He still eats terribly and wants ice cream and candy all the time. How will I ever fix this? He gets so excited over treats of any kind. He's our Chubby.

Morg went home with grandma and grandpa yesterday and as soon as the door closed I sat on the floor and sobbed. The lovely kind of sob where you heave and can't breathe. I'm so attached to that boy. I battle back and forth, wondering if I'm holding him back from spreading his little wings more. I just can't help it.

Meg and Kevin were married last weekend in Brigham City. It was a gorgeous (and hot) blue-sky day and everything seemed so perfect. Megan was glowing. And I couldn't believe how beautiful the temple was. Every inch of it. The detail was absolutely extraordinary. It is, hands down, the prettiest I've ever been to. Like a castle. I want to go back so soon.

Morg and Danny enjoyed playing with their cousins. Six boys ages four and under is a bit lively, let me tell you. We're so excited for our first girl cousin to arrive in the autumn and hope she will give these monkeys a run for their money.

When we came home from Utah, we had a kitchen full of ants. I freaked out, because, you know I don’t handle these kinds of things well. It makes me so upset and stressed! Sounds ridiculous, I know. Anyway, I was able to chase them out for the most part. Then I had the pest guy come and spray outside. Which seems to have taken care of them, but between the inside spray I used, and the outside spray he used, it seems to have kicked my butt.

Saturday, I came across some old windows at a yard sale. The girl told me to come back later that evening because she may have some more. Anyway, her landlord took me into the cellar and he had a whole cellar full of old shutters and windows. Score, folks. Score. I’m holding onto most of them for the flea market next month, but they are so great.

Saturday night, we finally saw Star Trek! I’ve been waiting and waiting and waiting for it to be at the dollar theater, because that’s still how we roll. I was not disappointed. We were cracking up over the nerds behind us who kept quoting the movie. Also, I ate whole bucket of popcorn and had a canker by the time we left the theater.

In other news, it’s really august. I wish it was June again. I wish it was June all year; one continuous month of June for three hundred and sixty five days. Heaven for me will be this.

We’ve crossed a few more things off our check list, but we’re hoping to do a lot more before September. September is sneaking up on us, though. We will see!

Here's what we've been up to....
