and that's your weekend update.
Mr. Keller and I went on a date Friday night to dinner and a movie. We went to the new house, too, to check out the week's progress and then we made out in each room in front of our brand new vinyl windows!!! It was hot. Hopefully the neighbors saw. We are so excited (and relieved!) to see things come together!!!
Saturday, I shopped around the local antique shops while the kids stayed with a babysitter and Mr. Keller went hunting. I picked out some fun vintage clothes for our family pictures that we had my mom take Sunday. I also finally pulled the trigger on an entryway piece I have had my eye on since the begining of the summer. I love supporting local shops and I love finding one-of-a-kind pieces for my home. It was a good day!
My parents came into town Saturday afternoon and the kids had fun running around and being crazy until just before midnight. We went to dinner and made crunchy peanut butter chex mix for dessert. And the kids got to try on their fun halloween costumes grandma just finished making for them!
Sunday was the primary program at church and we made sure Morg new that grandma and grandpa had traveled so far to see him say his part in the microphone in front of all the people. He did so good! He's a great little memorizer! We love our big boy Morgan.
Sunday, after nap and dinner, we headed up to City Creek for our family pictures. We took over 700 pictures and only a few turned out due to our out-of-control children. Did I really think they would sit still and smile in front of the camera when the great outdoors were calling to them?! At least we got a few okay ones - and really only one where everyone is looking and smiling at the same time. Gah!!!
This week, we're taking turns working at the new house in the evenings. And we're planning on staying indoors. It rained like crazy yesterday and today, I just may have seen a few snowflakes fall from the sky. This calls for sweats and blankets and popcorn.
PS - In regards to the pictures above, (which is a sneak peak of our family pictures), I just have to say it took me seven long years to get Mr. Keller into an old-man sweater! He rocked it like Mr. Rogers!!!
