Happy Birthday Dad!

Birthday factivia:

-Today dad's 55 and now officially qualifies for those certain senior discounts at the stores, including Ross's 10% Tuesdays! Hooray! (You know I can't wait to put that to good use!)
-He used to have long hair, then he had curly man-perm hair, then a beard, then a mustache, and now he's just gray. And handsome. He also used to play in a 1970s band.
-He makes fantastic breakfast burritos and whole wheat waffles.
-He loves email forwards, going fishing and playing the guitar.....caramel popcorn and my mom's homemade pecan pie.
-His hands are always open for holding and they are always warm.

We had Danny's birthday celebration the weekend of Father's Day and I never got to write a post about my dad, so a birthday one will have to make up for it.

How blessed I am to have married so wonderfully, but in my heart, my dad will always be the best man I know. That will never change.  He is the kindest, most patient person I've ever met. And when something breaks, I still believe he can always fix it. He's such a good, sweet grandpa and he's always willing to help me with the boys whenever he's around. I appreciate him more than he knows and much more than I say. I love him so much.
