A Danny Post

Danny darling is eight months old now. He weighs 21 lbs and is quite a lug to carry around. I've come to accept that by the time my children are raised, I will probably be crippled.

At this age, Danny is such a joy. And he's smart. He very clearly says 'Mom, Momma, Ma' and 'Dada', though he usually only calls for me when he's whiney, tired or hungry (figures!).

He's incredibly sweet and edible. I even heard daddy call you 'delicious' last night. He's also very funny! We've discussed it, daddy and I, and we think you're so cute to us because of how quirky you are. You make the funniest faces and shake your head from side to side. You roll from one side of the room, to the other very quickly, and you're trying to figure out the crawling thing, but aren't quite there just yet. You love bath time with big brother, and well, you love pretty much anything to do with big brother. He's the coolest, most exciting thing in your life. And he takes such good care of you. He always runs to get your passey and blanket without me even asking him, when you're fussing and when you cry, he rubs your back and tells you 'it's okay'.

You love watching Baby Einstein and you love your Exersaucer, though you are sort of growing out of it now. You love going places and riding in the car. And of course you love to eat. You love all sorts of food, except squash. Right now, your favorites are green peas and pears. You eat small pieces of bread and puff cereals that you can pick up and feed to yourself.

You have two bottom teeth, and your top two are just about to pop through. You have a favorite blanket that you have to sleep with, just like your brother. And you love your passey just as much as he did, too.

Nicknames we have for you: Sugar, Sug, and Sugie are our main ones, Sugar Rae, chunky monkey, chub, chubby, and Danny boy.
