Home for Christmas.

This was the first Christmas Mr. Keller and I spent by ourselves. The idea of it sounded rather lonely to both of us, but we felt like it was time to venture away from our childhood traditions to start our own. I must admit that as soon as we woke up Christmas eve morning, I cried. I cried for most of the day, but settled in Christmas eve night and by Christmas morning, the tears were gone and we were full of tummy butterflies and smiles as we watched Morgan open his presents. He was so fun to watch, and Santa seemed to have delivered just the right gifts. He got two police cars (the one thing he kept asking santa for), a big basketball hoop and ball, a lap keyboard, a cash register (his favorite), a real digital camera, lots of Caillou books, "tiny cars", and a big tonka truck. We had hot chocolate and monte cristo sandwiches for breakfast, and stayed in our pajamas for as long as we could. It was perfect and sweet, and I'm one lucky girl.

Here are a few pictures. Xo.

  1. This was our first year "on our own" for Christmas as well. I'm glad you enjoyed it. Mercer got the same "back-et-ball" hoop for Christmas and LOVES it!
