On Monday, Morg and I spent the day cooking and making things look special. He was such a good sport about waiting all day until daddy came home to eat cake. IT WAS SO HARD! And as soon as daddy walked through the door, he ran straight to the kitchen! We had orange chicken and steamed vegetables, sparkling cider and chocolate cake, which Morgan ate first, before his dinner.
As I set the table, he added his own little touches. Trucks. How romantic!
Tulips have to be the sweetest looking flower. I love them!
Vintage Valentine's cards Kricket sent me a few years ago.
Last month I was able to score this vintage Fisher Price barn and farm set at D.I. for $15.00. I decided I was going to save it for Valentine's and Morg loved it! Jared and I both grew up with sets of our own and I've been on the look-out for one for our home as well. This is seriously a classic, tried and true toy. And I'm happy to report that he loves it!
As you can see, the little people joined us for dinner, as well.
Fingers scooping frosting. Clearly, this was the funnest ever.
After we tucked little dude in for the night, we snuggled and watched Pride and Prejudice (our Valentine's tradition). I will tell you that there was some complaining that went on, but at the end of the night he said, "I really do like that movie. Just don't tell anyone." Such a gentleman.
PS - Look at my Valentine's present he bought me over the weekend! Vintage oars! They are so awesome!!!!
