Morgan:
So himself. He’s so particular and careful and tidy. He has
his things that he’s into and he loves those things fiercely. Star wars,
reading books, dinosaurs; these are the things he loves right now. He is so
thirsty to learn about things. He loves finding educational books and this afternoon
he opted to watch a documentary about dinosaurs instead of a cartoon. He
continues to be the sweetest, most genuine thing in our lives. He told us the
other day that he felt so good in his heart. He said, “It’s because I have no
sins today and the holy ghost is with me.” During Easter we talked a lot about
the atonement and about Jesus and a few days later he told me he needed to ask
for forgiveness for the “worstest” sin he ever did. And that was biting Danny. Stay
pure, my sweet little boy.
He made my mother's day so sweet and throughout the day, kept coming up to me and hugging me and telling me he loved me, and "happy mother's day, mommy.". He's such my companion and gives our home such a sweet spirit.
Danny:
Continues to be our little shit (in the most adoring sense
of the term). He is so funny and entertaining and naughty. He loves to tease
and gets such a thrill from it. He loves to work with daddy. His favorite day
of the week is when we mow the lawn. He works so hard. And I’m telling you, he
really works. He weeds, mows with his little lawn mower, helps move things. He
never stops to swing or to run around with Morg. He’s so focused on working. He’s
my little farmboy. The other day he was sneaking chocolate from the pantry.
Morg called for me to tell me what he was doing. He said, “Mom! Danny ate
chocolate!”. Danny yelled, “No! I didn’t!” and two seconds later, he yelled, “Oh,
yes I did!”. So funny! Then at church on Sunday, Mr. Keller was teasing him and
he turned around and laughed and said, “Dad, you so funny!”.
He’s been calling Morgan “Mowg” instead of Mimi, like he
used to. I don’t know why it’s so funny, but it is. Especially when he gets
mad. “Stop it Mowg!” --- “Don’t talk a me, Mowg!” --- “Nooooo! Mowg!”.
He loves his sweets – candy, cookies, cake—you name it. When
papa brought caramel corn, he was right next to him the entire time, munching
away. And when grandma tried to quietly open a candy bar, he heard the wrapper from
across the room and ran as fast as he could to see what was up.
