3/23

Well, I suppose this blog needs some nurturing from me, since it's been a few weeks. It's like every time I have a moment, the last thing I want to do is go in the cold basement and get on the computer. I've been contemplating having the boys share a room so I can have my own little office upstairs, but then I think bedtime would be a hassle and Morgan needs his space. We will see.

The weather has been so warm. My sweet little weeping pussy willow is in full bloom. It's such a sweet little tree. We planted it last spring and it was the first tree we ever bought. It's such a gift. It truly is. Every spring I wish I had planted tulips. I'm making it a major goal this autumn to plant some. I miss them in the spring. To compensate, I've been buying myself flowers at the grocery store.

We set out some raw sunflower seeds underneath our pine tree and we've had so much fun watching our birdies and squirrels have a feast. Our bunny has been around too. We spend a lot of time looking out our big window and we're getting anxious to be outside. We've made two trips to the park, which may have been a little rushed, but these boys are so spring-feverish we're about to drive each other to crazytown. For the last three saturdays, daddy has taken them fishing. The first time they went they caught one fish and before they left, I made sure Mr. Keller knew I expected pictures. He got some really cute ones and when they reeled in their first fish, he recorded it on his phone. It is seriously such a precious little video clip. God bless the modern cell phone maker. I'm so thankful we can capture our precious moments like this. This video brings me such happiness. I will be sure to post it soon.

A few weekends ago, we had a girls weekend planned for a flea market trip in slc. It didn't quite work out, so instead I took off last saturday for the day. I went to Idaho Falls and met up with Steph and we shopped for a while and had lunch together. I also drove out to Rigby to pick up a piece of furniture. I enjoyed the quiet drive there and back and it had me missing Kuna so much. It's like I need country in my life. We've been thinking a lot about finding someplace we can move to. Someplace with no neighbors (why are we not friendly?), a little field, and a jersey cow, which Mr. Keller has promised me at some point in the future. And also the sunset. I do love our house, but country is in our hearts. We'll patiently wait until it's time.

Uncle Dude has officially survived basic training; bless his heart. We are so proud of him. Like really, truly so, so proud. It was a long, long ten weeks for him and his lonely letters home were heartbreaking, but he made it through. My parents flew out there to see him for graduation and to do some traveling, since my dad went to South Carolina on his mission.

A few weeks ago, we found a Leapfrog globe at the D.I. for $1.50! We replaced the batteries and low and behold, it still worked. It has been Morg's constant companion for the last little bit. He is such a whip when it comes to memorizing. He knows all the states and countries and I'm not kidding! He's impressed us so much. He's like a sponge and he's so thirsty to learn. I know when kindergarten comes around he's going to just soar. But we're not going to even talk about kindergarten because tears always ensue. I think I will die.

Danny is still in potty training mode. I never bought pull-ups with Morgan because I think it defeats the purpose, but I grew tired of messes really fast with Danny. We've been at it for almost three weeks now and he's doing much better, but cash money adds up when you're throwing away a pair of underwear a day. So, pull-ups it is. He's really into Mickey Mouse lately and it seems we're always listening to the 'Hot Dog' song, which is a pretty fabulous jingle if I do say so myself. I love how my boys don't know how weird I am! The day Morgan starts being embarrassed when I burst into song and dance, I'll probably cry. They think I'm pretty fun (and funny) for now and we have been having ourselves such a good time now that we have youtube on our new tv. We dance on the coffee table and jump off the couch, and when Mr. Keller feels like he's going to go crazy, I tell him to deal. It's just our house that we LIVE in. It's always a rodeo around here.

Mr. Keller and I finally finished up Lost last weekend. We popped popcorn and I grabbed the kleenex. I knew I would be sad, but holy goodness. I cried and cried. As in, we had to pause the tv for a minute so I could get it together. And then we went to bed and I cried some more. It's such a powerful collection of human story and the ending is so moving. Truly my all time favorite favorite favorite. It's so beloved to me. Until next time, old friends.

Kricket came to visit this weekend while Mr. Keller was on his annual March Madness trip with Brian and Gary. It seemed like he was gone for a lot longer than he was and I’m always so thankful when he comes home. I can’t imagine single parenthood at all. We had so much fun with Kricket while he was away, though. We played, relaxed, talked a lot and went shopping on Saturday when Mr. Keller came home. We also tackled my front room since I had been gathering some new things for it over the last month or so. I love it now! Like really, really love it! She’s so talented and see things differently than I do. You know me, I'm always up for a change.

Anyway, I swear I had a few funny things to share about both boys, but of course since I didn't write them down, they're lost now. Here's some pictures from the last little bit.

------------------------------------------------------------------

This little leprechaun followed me home from preschool one day.

Danny has been obsessed with Lowe's lately. Last week, he woke up every morning asking if we could go there.

Vacuuming one day.

Boyfriend.

 Little faces.

Here's to finding non-gmo popping corn. Happyday! Happyday!

And Costco's spinach greek yogurt dip is to die for.

Sometimes I can't help but snap a few Sacrament Meeting photos. Someday I will miss these days. Maybe. What a rodeo church is. Also, 9am church means we're perpetual back-row folk. You bet.

This was the day Danny peed in his eye. And on my shirt. This is my life.

Project one afternoon during little bear's naptime.

I spy a tiny bum crack.

Sunday sweats and Mr. Keller's wool socks. Every weekend I look forward to this.

My Idaho Fall's haul. Here's to spoiling yourself.

Watching our furry friends out the window.

 Yay!

Laundry and Don. The life of a housewife.

My favorite spring things.

My sweethearts.

Getting himself 'dressed' right now, which equaled snowman pajama pants and his Halloween 'Mr. Bones' pajama shirt.

Alfalfa hair from earlier today. This child.

This weekend -- early morning, hence my puffy eyes. I love this lady.

Magazine reading with Kricket. This boy has good taste and loves looking at my Pottery Barn magazines when they come in the mail. They also had a Star Wars themed little boy's room and it blew his mind.
