Our littles are feeling much better! Thank heaven we survived! We've been Christmasing around here, making treats, reading books, singing songs. The magic this year astounds me! The boys are so excited for Santa to come!
Mr. Keller and I celebrated eight years yesterday. It seems like we've been trying to get away for months, but it never seems to pan out. It will one day. The stage of life we're in calls for pizza and sparkling cider at the bar of our kitchen. We don't mind. But seriously, eight years? Who was the girl back then? I scarily remember that small, slender, rested person I was back then. My heart is much more full now. And Mr. Keller, how I love him.
We're finished Christmas shopping, I think. We'll be visiting Santa at the mall tonight and Morg keeps changing his mind what he's asking for -- so there may be a little switcharooing going on in the next few days if he decides to ask for something we don't already have handled.
We watched Little Women yesterday afternoon. Like a sap, I cried at all the parts my mother used to cry in. And I did the smile-sob thing to Morg when he asked me what was wrong. It's my favorite Christmas movie. I love it so.
Morg and Danny are so funny together. Sometimes I think they may be killing each other in the other room, but sometimes I stumble upon scenes from my dreams. They melt my heart. This morning, Morgan was reading a Christmas book to Danny, telling him all about the Christmas story and baby Jesus and how the kings brought special presents to him. He had his arm around him and everything. It was so sweet.
This morning, I was in the bathroom with door shut (and locked) and within two seconds, Danny was knocking, knocking, knocking. He said, "Hello mom!!! It's me! It's Danny!". No matter how I wish for privacy, how can I not laugh at my Danny boy. He's so funny. All the time!
Mr. Keller took the boys Christmas shopping and Morg came home telling him he bought me a present but that he wouldn't tell me what it was until Christmas. He also came back from preschool yesterday telling me he had a special present for us but that it was a special surprise. He's doing so good keeping secrets, even though it's really hard!
Here's a few pictures of the last week or so....
Pretty Harry and David from the Coles!
Cute new pillow from good old Ross
Smiling (and feeling/looking so much better!)
My sweet boyfriends
This little fart has taken all the ribbon off the tree fifty times.
.............and he's broken at least ten ornaments.
Grandma and papa are doing the twelve days of Christmas and the boys get to open a present each day.
They love these Santa lights!
Sugar cookie time!
My aunt Darlene's recipes are seriously the best ever.
Such a sweet childhood tradition.
Making cookies
This one ate three for lunch.
I turned around and saw this sweetness unfolding. They hugged for several minutes.
More cookie mess.
Morg was in charge of his own sprinkles.
And lastly, I believe you all should wish for your own Danny this Christmas.
I could eat this little boy.
