Lately.

So, I've become rather lazy since buying this smart phone of mine. I haven't touched my Canon for almost a month. This makes me sad. Really, really sad. So, this week, my goal is to not instagram at all. Time to dust off the lenses and get some decent photographs.

Morgan went into the surgery center on Thursday morning. We had to be there at 7:30am. He was so brave. I was full of nerves but was thankful for the blessing Mr. Keller gave him before hand. Mr. Keller offered to take him in, instead of me. At first, I thought that may be best, but I couldn't do it. It would've just about killed me staying behind, not being able to be right there. It went so smoothly. It took just over an hour, and $3600 (seriously, I cannot get over this), and he was in recovery. After being in the waiting room and hearing children wake up screaming, I was very anxious by the end. Morgan (thankfully) woke up very calm. He kept telling me, "I went to sleep and it made me sick. I'm so sick, mommy." I held him, fed him jello and watched cartoons with him until they discharged him. He has caps on the all the bottom molars and now looks like Lil' Jon (Whaaat?!!!). Is it vain that that's the part that I regret the most? The dentist doesn't recommend tooth colored crowns for children, I guess, because they bite too hard and break them. I should've insisted. He was excited to return home to the surprise we promised him. He laid low for the rest of the day and is 100% now. I'm thankful this is now in the past.

The next day after his little surgery, he caught a cold. And now we all have it. We're home from church, once again.

We've been pretty focused on the yard this week, and it will probably continue that way all summer. It's driving me crazy (but you already know that). I'm anxious to make it safe for the kids and I to enjoy it. Uncle dude helped us so much last weekend, but there's still so much to do. And because Mr. Keller can only take so much bossing around, I've hired someone so I can do just that. Boss him around. Worth every penny. Especially if it saves your marriage. I'm anxious to get the garden planted and the lawn treated and the grass seed growing nice and thick. It never ends with this house. I swear.

The last two weekends, the boys and I have hit the yard-sales pretty hard. I think I'll try to make a point to do this each weekend through the summer. Friday morning, we wake up early, pack some toys, grab a paper from the news stand and off we go. Morgan is my little buddy. He loves treasure hunting as much as I do, which is thrilling for me. The other day, he pointed to the same thing I was scoping out and said, "Hey, this is cool!" At that moment, the clouds parted and I think I heard angels singing softly in the distance. Seriously. My little mini-picker.

Cute things that were said/done by him this week:

- "Danny's the cutest baby in the whole world."
- Laughing hysterically whenever Danny farts.
- I put on a new apron to cook dinner one night and Morg turned to me and said, "That's a pretty bra mom, where did you get it?"
-Asking me if he could be a race car when he grows up.
-Waking up this morning and telling me first thing that he wants a robot for next Christmas. "Caillou and Leo both have one. I want one too."
-Seeing someone with dark skin at the store and asking me if it was Claudio (our hired help).
-Running up to Jared and telling him he has to tell him something and saying, "...but you can't laugh.." (looking  directly at me (his mother).
- Running away from Jared when he's in trouble and yelling back, "I'm sick of it!" (wonder where he heard that phrase from...)
- Coming up to me and asking, "Do you feel like playing with me?" (how could I honestly be too busy for this?)
- Saying, "I love you, mom" in the most heartfelt voice I've ever heard.

{here's a few pictures from the last few weeks}
