We had the perfect Christmas in Boise with the Dixons this year. It was exactly the break we needed. We shopped and little and visited with extended family and a few friends the first two days we were there, and then the last little bit leading up to Christmas, we simply stayed indoors. We baked and ate lots of good food. Dad built lots of fires and we stayed in our sweats for most of the time. We're officially addicted to Duck Dynasty and probably watched over twenty episodes together while we were there. Facial hair, you guys. Seriously! Christmas Eve, we had dinner together and Santa's little elf dropped off our matching pajamas on the doorstep that night. Is there nothing cozier than flannel in winter? I think not.
Christmas Eve night, the guys had a little bit of santa building to do for the next morning. Much to our surprise, Morg even slept in until 8am! The rest of the day went by so quickly, as Christmas usually does. The boys loved all their toys. They played contently the entire day and I took a million pictures. Mr. Keller spoiled me, as usual, with a new camcorder, a vacuum for the stairs, a pretty pearl necklace, perfume, pjs and the cutest tall boots that have a bow on the back of them. Crazy thing is I casually mentioned to him friday about this pair of boots I had seen online and fell in love with. He called right away and they were shipped out immediately and arrived at my parents' on Christmas Eve. Sweetheart. My favorite present I gave to him was two framed vintage maps. One of Thailand from 1898 and one of Idaho from 1901. We can't wait to hang them in the office.
We drove home yesterday in a pretty blustery storm. We drove slow and said a few prayers. The ride was uneventful and we arrived home just fine. We're already missing grandma and papa. We're so blessed.
Here are a few pictures from last weekend:
