Happy Friday: I love Lowes!
I feel like flying a kite! I finally picked out an interior paint color for our new house (one uniform color for the whole house = 40 gallons of paint!) and it's even all mixed and picked up! We're in the clear! Hallelujah!!! It may not sound like that big of a deal, but I think I've given myself an ulcer over it. Picking a paint color is as big of a decision as naming a child, in my book, and after all the stress of picking it out, they could not mix it right to save their lives or mine. (And believe me, we were all in jeopardy.) Yesterday, after my fifth trip to Home Depot being three hours long, with whiny kids and incapable, rude customer service, I had an epiphany. Screw Home Depot and get your ass to Lowe's where you belong. This morning, I met the contractor at the front desk and had him bring all the paint back. With my refund money in hand, me and the boys drove off into the sunset (sunrise, really) without looking back, except for when I stuck my head out the window and flipped their ugly orange building a lovely fingerbird.
Okay, I didn't really do that last part, but I really wanted to. If I wasn't thinking of how mortified Mr Keller would have been, I would have done it. And if I would have done it, I wouldn't have let the boys see. So, don't worry mom. It would've all been okay.
On a much lovelier note: our second stop this morning was Lowe's where they treated us just the way they always do. Perfectly. And the color is just right. If you only knew the sighs of relief. Seriously, the sighs of relief!
Tonight, it's Cafe Rio, early bedtime for the darlings, and quiet yoga for me! It's so needed!
All is well that ends well. And tonight is ending well.
