When finally set free.

"Walking, I am listening to a deeper way.
Suddenly all my ancestors are behind me.
Be still, they say. Watch and listen.
You are the result of the love of thousands."

Grandma Dixon finally slipped away this morning around 7:30, which is strange because I woke up a few hundred miles away, thinking of her right then. I looked out the window and the sky seemed more blue than I remembered. Instead of feeling sad, I feel peace. Even the thought of her now, knowing she's gone, somehow feels more complete. I think she's in grandpa's arms. I'm looking forward to going to Boise this week and hugging people I haven't for a while.

Three squeezes to your sweet little hand. I'm missing you.
