November first: starting new traditions

In September, Mr. Keller and I decided Morg was old enough to take out on fun one-on-one dates. It's a tradition we had growing up in my family and we called them 'mommy-daughter dates' or 'daddy-daughter dates'.

Morg's first date with daddy was up hunting for the evening and to get ice cream afterwards. Morg was so excited waiting for daddy to come home that night he could hardly stand it! He got to wear his camo shirt and one of daddy's hats. They looked just like twins.

Today, I'm thankful for the excitement of starting new traditions. It's one of the sweeter things I've been looking forward to for so long.

"Gratitude is an uplifting, exalting attitude. People are generally happier when they have gratitude in their hearts. We cannot be bitter, resentful, or mean-spirited when we are grateful."

November 1st marks the beginning of a month full of writing for me, and more specifically, writing with gratitude in mind. Join me, if you'd like.

Xoxo!
