Last week, Jar and I found this wooden children's hutch at D.I. for $20.00. We originally planned on painting it up and reselling it, but once I got it home, (and knowing Morgan's favorite toy at grandma's house is my old kitchen hutch Grandpa Dixon made for me when I was a little girl), I decided it wasn't going anywhere.
We peeled off dated formica from the countertop, and added a few 'boyish' touches, including the striped blue ticking fabric in the cupboard doors. Morgan's room colors are red, yellow and blue (I took pictures months ago, I just need to post them...), so adding a few red accessories helped it fit right in. And someday, if ever we decide we can handle parenting a little girl, this will belong to her.
