Since Mr. Keller started his new job a few weeks ago, he's been switching up the old khaki dress-pant ensemble and wearing jeans with so-cute shirts to work, which has really been taking me back to the 'BK' (before kids) days when we both used to dress a lot nicer on a daily basis. He's been looking so swell! He leaves for work smelling sweet while I'm still awesomely wearing my grandma nightgowns and leftover make up from the day before.
The other day I went home from grocery shopping feeling so 'mommy' when I spent almost $100 on clothes (for myself) from Walmart. WALMART! Nothing says 'mom' quite like that.
I wear my pants too high, watch the nightly news and can't go to bed early enough, even when the clock says 8pm.
I keep daydreaming about the future when our darlings are a little older, when we have more time to ourselves and can go more places and do more things. But I'm told time and again, when this is all in the past, we'll want it all back.
It's hard to think about wanting back the zombie days of new motherhood, sleepless nights, an endlessly messy house and dishes that wait in the sink for days. But I'm hoping to someday forget all of that. I'm hoping to grow old, but slowly. And remember all the sweet.

PS - Night number three with a six-hour stretch of sleep! I always knew I loved that Danny boy of mine, but as it turns out, I like him a whole lot better when he sleeps!
Also, looking forward to wrapping my arms tight around that wild monkey child of mine tomorrow when grandma and grandpa bring him home! Jared and I have wrangled up a little thrift-store surprise for him. I can't wait to take a few pictures!
Happy Friday, my loves.
