Some little person in our small family is one month old today! That little someone stayed up until 3:30am last night and only slept two hours, which has kept us a little fuzzy-brained this fine sunday. But not so much as to not to enjoy burgers on the grill and homemade peanut butter cookies.
Mom and dad came for a quick visit to stay with us while Jar went on a campout friday evening with the scouts. Grandpa took Morg to the Popcorn Shoppe and to get 'chicken nuggets, tomatoes and lettuce' (as he requested) with the rest of us at Ruby Tuesdays. (Ruby Tuesdays has the best croutons, you guys! Holy smokes!)
Last night we went out for a drive and Morg loved the trees full of lights downtown. Jared loved the deer we saw and I loved remembering how we used to drive that way every night back when we were dating. I can't believe how quickly the time has gotten away from us. Six years and two children, and I'm no girl anymore. I'm the mother of two blue-eyed boys. One who fits in the crook of my arm and one I can hardly carry.
And they just keep growing.
Morg is really loving this 'big brother' thing. Lately he's been running up to Danny and saying 'hey buddy!', insists on helping me change diapers and loves holding the bottle when it's dinner time! He's also been running around telling me 'Danny is happy!' when he's not crying, or 'Danny is sad!' when he is crying, or 'Danny is hungry!' when he's in between.
Until next time, my loves. Now I'm going to go sleep for a few days.
(I only wish...)
I LOVE this pic of Morgan feeding Danny. What cute brothers.
ReplyDeleteHere's to Danny figuring out good sleep patterns soon!
