I love my mom.

Right now my papoose is sleeping and I'm sacrificing my own precious naptime/Vintage Farm time to tell you a few reasons why I love my mom. One, because it's her birthday today. And on her birthday, she should hear how much I love her a little extra than usual. And two, because lately I've been feeling so thankful for her.  

Last week when we were camping, Morgan literally cried 75% of the first night we were there. (We got maybe two hours of sleep?) Around 10:15pm, I start getting mean if I'm not on my way to bed. It gets worse the later the night grows. (Imagine me in a tent borderline shaking my baby, if you will.) Jared and I took turns trying to comfort him, but it was no use. He wouldn't stop. And I was so frusterated. And mean to everyone around. Especially to my mom, who ended up being the one to sleep with him in the end.

Thankfully, she always forgives me. And she always takes over just in time before I break down. Like after I was recovering from my c-section and she played new mom for me while I slept/bawled my eyes out/had multiple pity parties/thought I was dying. Or the time Morgan was sick this summer. Or the time I was sick last summer. 

She takes care of me. Because that's what mothers do. And that's what best friends do. And she is my mom and my best friend. She works so tirelessly to help me. Because she loves me. The kind of pure, selfless love that only mothers have. 

I think mother is God's purest creature. I believe that with my whole heart because the feelings inside of me lead me to that belief. 

My mother is sweet. She is hardworking. She is talented. She's never given up on me or turned her back on me. She has opinions. She's smart. She knows how to fix what's broken. She knows how to wipe away tears and soothe sorrow. With her I am a better, smarter, kinder person. 

I love her so much. So, so much.
