When we woke up this morning, Jared asked if I would be sure to post pictures of a certain project he recently completed. I had to pinch myself to make sure I was really awake and hearing what he was saying.
For one, he's not a fan of blogging. Two, he never wants to be posted about. (He's a weirdo.) ( And I love him.)
Rubbing my eyes, I asked why he was in such a hurry. Then he told me he really wanted his mom to see the pictures.
If that isn't the sweetest.
I smiled, agreed to post pictures, and then thought to myself, I hope when my son is twenty-something, he'll be thinking of his mom when he finishes projects (and feels proud of his work).
I know I am proud.
-----------
Friday morning,
our backyard deck looked like this:
Jared worked all day Friday, and had the help of my dad and brother on Saturday,
and by Sunday morning, it looked like this:
There's no telling what the previous owners were thinking in regards to a lot of the things that were done (or
not done) to our home before it became ours (including the maroonish-red wall in the family room, the blue metal blinds, and the red, yellow and blue cirlces that were painted all over the wall in Morgan's room).
We've wanted to put up railing ever since we moved in, but now with Mr. Morg walking everywhere, we decided it was on the top of our 'must-do' list.
A weekend's worth of hard work, and now it's done!
Happy Mother's Day to me!!!!!!!!!
Now, for the flowers beds, garden, lawn and staining the deck...!
Summer yard work, here we come!!!!!
