It’s the 2nd day in April and the snow lingers still. I’m sitting in the office in Jared’s sweats, shirt and a pair of Corrie’s socks Jared borrowed once and never gave back. Looks like we’re keeping this pair, Cor. Morgan’s asleep in our room and I’m not about to go in there for my own things.
And I’m freezing.
I’ve been up since 4:50am this morning. Silly little boy thought it was awake-time and started jabbering. As much as I love that sweet little voice of his, I whispered a little prayer for him to go back to sleep.
It was unanswered, and that’s okay. So, today I’m tired. And I have lots to do. Next to none of it will get done and I’m focusing this week on telling myself that that’s okay too.
Last weekend we had our friends Clay and Sara over for dinner. Morgan is seven days older than their little Maleah, and well over five pounds bigger! I call them birthday buddies. Maleah is beautiful and very dainty. We had a wonderful time! It’s funny to remember back when both Sara and I were pregnant together. We were so darn miserable towards the end and counting down together was fun. Sara, can you believe it’s been five months now?
We’re looking forward to seeing the Keller side of the family this weekend for the "family baby shower get-together" for Holly and Cassie. I can’t wait to see them and their cute little bellies. Soon Morg will have two more boy cousins! We are blessed!
I’ve been on a scrap-booking kick lately. I wish so bad I had a project room!!! Jared has come home to a full-blown disaster in the living room more than once this week. Someday, I tell him.
Otherwise, all is well in the Keller home. We grow increasingly spring-feverish, but I just know that one of these days spring will arrive, and arrive to stay a while. Pocatello is like that. It’s winter, winter, winter, and then comes sunshine and warmth. And oh, how we’re waiting with great anticipation for the warmth.
Sleepily,
Hollie Rae
Scrapbooking Money-saving Tip: buy fake flower bouquets at the store and then take apart the silk petals and use them as you would use the packaged silk flowers found at scrapbooking stores. I have found that most silk flowers in the bouquets come apart very easily and this saves TONS of money. Plus, you get a lot more flowers and there is more of a color selection. I’m always trying to find ways around buying things that seem ridiculously expensive. And the scrapbooking market is ridiculously expensive.
Hollie, I love to read your posts! And wow 5 months, I can't believe it! Pretty soon they will be walking and talking, sad! Thanks so much for having us over last week it was so much fun, you guys and your home is so warm and inviting I hope we can do it again! So next week like on Tuesday afternoon we should get together and scrapbook, I really need to catch up!
